Vintners Club: Membership Info

Membership in the Vintners Club is open to all persons regardless of race, color, creed or gender who are interested in enhancing their knowledge and appreciation of wine. Over 350 men and women (wine collectors, winemakers, winery owners, restaurateurs, sommeliers, wine writers and judges, and people who simply love wine) are members. Several wineries hold corporate memberships which entitles their personnel to attend the tastings and events at the discounted member price. The Club's publications are disseminated electronically to approximately 6,000 wine enthusiasts all over the world.

A one-time Initiation Fee of $350 is charged to join the Vintners Club. Annual Dues are $275 for resident members and for wineries. Dues are $150 for individuals who reside more than 50 miles from the Civic Center of San Francisco. Because of the Club's nonprofit, tax-exempt status, dues and wine donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law in the same manner as charitable contributions. Wine industry professionals may also be able to deduct the initiation fee and cost of tastings. Members are not charged any annual "assessment" for purchase of wines.
